Today, Zoom announced the general availability of Swoogo’s hybrid events offering on the Zoom App Marketplace. This offering brings together Zoom Event’s virtual platform and Swoogo’s in-person event management technology to empower event organizers to reach broader audiences.

“The hybrid capabilities in Zoom’s platform are an exciting extension of the tools we offer event organizers to engage virtual audiences in meaningful and impactful ways,” said Sam Harkness, SVP of Partnerships at Swoogo. “We’re committed to ensuring event organizers can engage all attendees whether they have the ability to travel to an event or not.”

“Hybrid events are here to stay, and it’s critical that event organizers design experiences that make both in-person and virtual attendees feel equally connected to the event,” said John Beckmann, head of Zoom Events. “By incorporating Swoogo’s customizable event management capabilities with Zoom’s digital platform, our customers can enjoy seamless planning and hosting, even for the most complex hybrid events.”

Supercharging hybrid events

Whether they are planning simple or elaborate events, organizers often manage many workstreams, from event logistics to attendee registration and event communications, which requires agile and scalable technology.

The Zoom Events and Swoogo integration, available natively in the Zoom Marketplace, enables event organizers to uplevel events and simplify workstreams through the following capabilities:

  • Connect a Swoogo event website and registration flow with Zoom Events.
  • Easily capture signups in Swoogo with personalized registration paths.
  • Funnel virtual registrants directly into Zoom Events to provide an engaging hybrid event experience.
  • Create speaker profiles and sessions in Swoogo and sync with Zoom Events to help save event staff time.
  • Streamline event communications in Swoogo to support consistent branding and messaging.
  • Merge Zoom Events link directly with email communications.
  • Use the Zoom Events mobile app to connect in-person and virtual attendees.

“The Swoogo and Zoom Events integration provides us with the tools to uplevel our hybrid events. With Swoogo, we can easily create personalized registration paths for in-person and virtual attendees, create speaker bios, and session overviews, and sync all of it into Zoom Events,” said Kimberly Stone, VP of Event Technology at Meeting & Incentives Worldwide. “Two forward-thinking brands have come together to roll out this time-saving integration, and I’m excited to see the impact of this collaboration on our industry.”

Embedded within Zoom Events, event organizers can leverage AI Companion to dynamically generate content such as event and session descriptions, receive support in crafting communications such as emails and attendee call-to-actions, and even help participants compose chat messages in the event lobby. Soon, event organizers will be able to leverage AI Companion to generate text and images for registration pages and emails to save valuable time and resources.
