Zoom’s mission is to provide one platform that delivers limitless human connection. This year’s Impact Report demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to its core value of Care, as it cares for its customers, communities, teammates, and company as a whole. Zoom listens to and innovates for its customers, allowing them to seamlessly interact through its AI-powered collaboration platform. Zoom supports and connects its communities through Zoom Cares’ efforts across philanthropic grants, product donations, capacity building, and employee volunteering. Zoom addresses sustainability holistically across the company in a way that extends beyond its carbon footprint, and is taking steps to improve across environmental, social, and governance arenas.

Highlights include:

  • Provisioned $3.7 million in grant funding to 50 organizations in 20 countries and $1.7 million of in-kind product donations to 70 nonprofit organizations in 14 countries. These organizations span the globe and focus their work on a variety of causes including climate solutions, youth mental health, and health equity.
  • Joined the Pledge 1% movement to strive towards donating 1% of product, equity, and time to social impact causes, alongside other leading technology companies who are equally committed to the cause.
  • Zoom employees directed more than $630,000 to nonprofits around the world through employee-giving programs.
  • Hosted its inaugural Global Day of Care, bringing together employees to volunteer in their local communities and virtually, creating a positive impact all over the world. More than 800 employees volunteered in 80 cities.
  • Implemented a software platform to manage and track ESG efforts by serving as a central repository and carbon calculator for energy and waste data. Zoom is evaluating decarbonization pathways, initial policy work, and emission reduction opportunities across operations, specifically targeting work locations, data center providers, and procurement.
  • Launched the Zoomies Helping Zoomies Employee Relief Fund in partnership with E4E Relief. The Fund provides financial support to employees facing extraordinary personal crises resulting from catastrophic events and/or urgent personal hardships.

Sustainability and philanthropy are ongoing endeavors for Zoom, as the company continues to build upon initiatives, reduce its environmental footprint, positively impact communities, and transparently share its progress. Zoom is proud to share its continued innovation and is humbled to partner with its customers and communities to have a positive impact on the world.
