Today, Zoom launched the Zoom Education Ambassador Program. The new program is designed to foster a community of educators and administrators who are passionate about leveraging Zoom Workplace to enhance teaching and learning experiences and improve administrative productivity. The program will support Zoom’s already established CIO-led Customer Advisory Councils, which have been in place with K-12 and higher education institutions for several years.

This inaugural program will begin with over 30 members from K-12 and higher education institutions in North America and will expand to educational institutions in other global regions over the coming year. The Education Ambassadors will share best practices and innovative approaches to using Zoom Workplace in an educational setting.

“We are thrilled to launch the Education Ambassador Program and to collaborate with such a talented and dedicated group of educators and administrators,” said Johann Zimmern, global education marketing lead at Zoom. “Their insights and experiences will be instrumental in driving the adoption and effective use of our Zoom Workplace solutions in educational environments to enhance communication and collaboration and support student success.”

“We deliver over 300 academic courses a semester with Zoom Rooms technology to 30 locations and campuses throughout Utah. We currently have 250 Zoom Rooms-enabled classrooms now and will have over 300 by the end of 2024. This allows our faculty throughout the state to deliver high-quality interactive courses,” said Kevin Reeve, director, Teaching and Learning Technology, Utah State University. “I am honored to be part of the newly formed Zoom Education Ambassador Program and look forward to exciting networking opportunities.”

The selected Education Ambassadors represent a diverse range of K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and educational service providers, and will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the program. Ambassadors are encouraged to share use cases and successful implementations of Zoom Workplace through virtual webinars and in-person presentations at conferences and tradeshows. Additionally, they will have the unique opportunity to participate in beta programs, providing valuable feedback that will help shape the future development of Zoom technology for educational purposes.
